| Class | Night Photography with Greg Disch |
| Date | Thursday, May 24th, 2012 |
Minimum Experience | Intermediate |
| Description | Just because you have just captured some great images during the “Magic Hour” does not mean it’s time to put away the camera and quit shooting. Some of my favorite images are from “Night Photography”. The same scene you shot during the daylight will take on a whole new dimension after dark. With digital photography, subjects that were nearly impossible to shoot a night are now obtainable by nearly everyone.
I enjoy shooting at night, there is just something about the night - quiet, serene, peaceful, and everything seems to slow down from the hustle and bustle of the day. With night photography you have all the time you need to get the shot (assuming you do not have to get up early). Essentially night photography is the same as daylight photography except that you are working in super slow motion.
This class is designed to teach you what you need to know in order to head out and photograph the world at night. We will learn to use long exposures to properly expose a scene and bring the glow of the night to life in your images. We will cover how to set your camera manually, equipment, and specialized techniques such as light painting, shooting star trails, fireworks, and more.
