PSNWA Spring Fashion and Fine Art Photography Symposium in Eureka Springs
Each year the Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas conducts a symposium in beautiful Eureka Springs Arkansas, on Fashion, Portraiture, and Figure Fine Art Photography. The member led symposium was held in the Basin Park Hotel in the heart of down town Eureka Springs. The Hotel offered great amenities including a class room setting, a ballroom that was transformed for studio sessions, and two large suites for supplies and model preparations.
The symposium featured:
- Models from Studio 28
- Professional Hair and Makeup for the Models
- Reception, Late-night model shoot, Photoshop workshop, and breakfast for attendees spending the 14th in the Basin Park Hotel.
- Sessions covering Studio Fashion Photography
- Sessions covering Human Fine Art Photography
- Sessions covering Natural Lighting
- Sessions covering Studio Lighting for Glamour, and Beauty
- General Guided Photography Sessions around Eureka Springs
- Catered lunch and two breaks
- Door prizes from symposium sponsors
The symposium began the night before the 15th for those wishing to stay the night in the Basin Park Hotel. The evening of the 14th members and guests came together for food and camaraderie during the Chairman's Reception in the sun room suite. The reception was followed at 10:00pm by a late night low light session on the street, led by Lena Hudson.
The symposium officially began on Sunday May 15th with sessions on location and in studios arranged in the Basin Park Ballroom. 10 separate sessions concentrating on various topics such as calendar, fashion, haute couture, and fine art.
