Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas

Board of Directors meeting October 10th 2002

 

The following minutes have been recorded and approved as accurately representing the ideas, leadership, and dictation of governing rules as set forth by the Board of Directors for the Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas.

 

1)      Meeting called to order by Executive Chair Patrick Ward.

a)      Attendance included:  Mark Abram, John Baltz, Catherine Baltz, E. Rick Cash, Michelle Ironside, Nakole Neumeier, and Lucy Overstreet.

 

2)      A motion was posed and ratified to increase general meetings for every other month to a more regular monthly meeting.  Board members feel a meeting every two months does not promote a since of community.

 

 

3)      Patrick Ward and John Baltz with a representative of  land lords from the Evlyn Hills Shopping Center.  They have posed rental of a small 1000 foot office area, in need of only light remodeling, for 600 a month.  The land lord will replace the aging heater, and can have keys ready in about a week.  A motion was brought by John Baltz to proceed with rental of the facility.  The motion was seconded by Rick Cash, and it was passed unanimously.  Patrick Ward will contact the land lord about securing a lease to the facility.

 

 

4)      A brief discussion was held on ways to increase membership.

 

5)      Meeting was called to close by Patrick Ward.
