Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas

Board of Directors meeting February 20th 2003

The following minutes have been recorded and approved as accurately representing the ideas, leadership, and dictation of governing rules as set forth by the Board of Directors for the Photographic Society of Northwest Arkansas.

1) Meeting called to order by Executive Chair Patrick Ward.

a) Attendance included: Mark Abram, John Baltz, Catherine Baltz, E. Rick Cash, Michelle Ironside, Nakole Neumeier, and Lucy Overstreet.

2) Brief discussion concerning the need of membership exhibits for the various business sponsors.

3) A motion was made that Patick Ward, Rick Cash, and John Baltz would setup a Bank account with the Bank of Fayetteville. John Baltz would research details of signature needs and the best way to setup a non-profit account, and report at the next board meeting on the progress.

4) Nakole Neumeier will contact the Jones Center, and try and reschedule the Photoshop class canceled after the Jones Center canceled the room reservation..

5) John Baltz gave a quick report on the state of the web site and future goals including a new more stable forum, and member portals, and web pages.

6) Mark Abram will make arrangement for a new competition. By unanimous vote the theme of the competition was set to “Life in the Ozarks”. Mark Abram will arrange for a team of three judges.

7) Lucy Overstreet will prepare a flyer for the competition.

8) Meeting was called to close by Patrick Ward.
