David Emitt Adams is a nationally exhibited photographer who makes “tintypes,” one-of-a-kind images, which are placed onto found objects like discarded cans and the lids of 55 gallon drums.

[image_frame style=”framed” title = “David Emitt Adams Oil Drum Lid” align=”right” width=”300″ height=”299″]David Emitt Adams Oil Drum Lid[/image_frame] Incredible as it may seem, the photographer pours a photographic emulsion onto the object while in the field and chemically processes the image in a matter of minutes – exactly the way it would done in the 19th century. His work has recently been on display at the Phoenix Art Museum.

Elections for PSNWA Board Members will also be held at the November general meeting.

Join us July 11 at 7 p.m. for the PSNWA general meeting featuring guest speaker Ashley B. Lewis owner of A.B. Lewis Photography.

Ashley’s love for photography began with a month long trip to Europe, where she was able to look at architecture as art. She then trained under a well-known Street Photographer in New York City and soon after that, began capturing people from a documentary style point-of-view. Ashley taught in the classroom for 13 years before deciding to make a career transition into full-time photography and loves how she can still interact with people on a daily basis. She is the creator of Destination Session, which is an application based program for girls ages 14 and up. It consists of a different location each time (so far they’ve been to NYC and next is LA) and 4 styled shoots with hair/makeup/clothing and plenty of adventure! She loves to do editorial/fashion photography, home shoots, new birth sessions at the hospital and portrait work with families, teenagers and young children. She is also the photographer for The Valley Boutique and Bentonville Love/Hello, Local clothing lines. She has been married to Garrett Lewis since 2002. They have 2 children; Graham-6 and Ellis-2. Ashley travels a lot with her business and shoots locally in Western/Northwest Arkansas. You can view her work at www.ablewisphotography.com or on social media: Instagram- ablewisphoto or Facebook- AB Lewis Photography. Live. Laugh. Love your story.

Join us for the June General Meeting with award winning photographer Ed Cooley.

Love of nature, natural instinct and relentless pursuit of the perfect shot is evident throughout his work. His inspiring visions of the untainted landscape are breathtaking. Ed’s fine art landscapes and photographic exhibits have earned critical acclaim with 22 international photography awards in 2011.

Ed makes his home in the rustic Ozark Mountain region of Northwest Arkansas.

After years as a software engineer, entrepreneur and family man, Ed returned to his love of nature. He taught himself photography to share the wonderful locations he and his wife, Faith, were visiting. As his technical skills progressed, so did his passion for artistically capturing natural scenery. Over several years Ed spent more and more time exploring beautiful locations locally and around the country.

A near fatal accident, alone in the Arkansas wilderness, followed by a harrowing rescue and six months in rehabilitation would be a turning point in Ed’s life. He now travels worldwide photographing nature’s most beautiful and dramatic scenery.

Location to be determined.
