PSNWA members are invited to participate in the Purple Competition for a chance to win a $100 gift-certificate from Bedford Camera & Video and give exposure to your photography.
For this exhibition the focus will be on Purple photography. We want to see images that really showcase the use of purple photography, whether that is in nature or an urban setting, any style/genre of photography is welcome as long as it fits the theme of Purple photography.

Exhibit Competition Rules
This competition is open to members of PSNWA and juried by a panel of three PSNWA members. Submitted images should be deemed acceptable for public display for all ages. Photographs will be judged on Impact, Subject Matter, Creativity, Composition, and Technical Quality. Up to 3 images can be submitted. Members with winning images will be notified to provide a high resolution JPG file suitable for 16×20/24 printing uploaded to the PSNWA online Smugmug account for printing by Bedford Camera & Video.
Images not meeting any of the following criteria or with incomplete information will be disqualified. Please check the spelling and capitalization in the Title of your photo.
- No name, watermark, or additional text on the photograph or in the name of the file.
- Images must be suitable for framing in a standard 16×20/24 ratio.
- Images entered in any previous PSNWA competition are not eligible.
Top images may be displayed at participating business sponsors around Northwest Arkansas post competition and published online or in print by PSNWA. There is a gallery limit of two winning images per member that will be displayed in the gallery. The top two scored images will be used to determine the images displayed if a member has multiple images ranked in the gallery range. Photographer with top images will be provided a link post judging for submitting high resolution images suitable for printing.

Having trouble uploading images to the online competition?
Ensure your images meet the following criteria:
- Images should be in a .jpg or .jpeg format
- It is strongly suggested that you size your images between 1000 to 2000 pixels along the longest side. Large images may have issues and not completely load.
